Steel Grill Restaurant & Bar: A Culinary Gem in Gering, NE

Where to start with this fabulous restaurant? Friendly staff, great atmosphere, amazing food, wonderful cocktails? This place is awesome. Just go there! Get the Mac and cheese as a side. You will not regret it.

The meat was cooked to perfection. The onion rings were bombed we had one of the sandwiches delicious. The salad that we ordered wasn't what the menu said it was but they were quick to correct it and very very professional and sweet the drinks were out of this world the waitress recommended the pickle sour it was bomb. Would definitely go out of my way to come back here again

Are here recently with a group. We showed up close to closing time and were worried the staff might be bitter. If they were, they never showed it. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Our group ordered a good variety of food and everything was delicious! From the shrimp poboy to the porterhouse steak, everything was cooked well and tasted amazing. I ordered the steak nachos. Best nachos, hands down,that I've ever had. It should come with a warning though. The portion was gigantic (definitely enough for 2 people)! The steak was tender and seasoned well and the chips were crisp and everything was layered well so each bite was full of goodness. My buddy said the porterhouse was one of the best streaks he's ever had. It too was huge (I'd say close to 30oz). It can run a little pricy depending on what you get, but the food was definitely worth it! Again, the staff was great given the late time and the food was top notch. Will definitely be back again!

Great service, food came out in a pretty quick pace. Super friendly server sorry I didnt catch her name but she was relatively newish. My friends a lightweight and spilt his Dr pepper on the table. The whole staff was very quick to lend a hand mopping it up off the table. 10/10 would reccomend. The price is worth it.

Long wait due to weather. Wait staff were apologetic and the food was worth the wait. I had the fish and chips, Better than most. My wife had the ribs and Mac and cheese. Too good to not get a take home box.

Fantastic is an understatement. Food, environment, atmosphere, music, seating, all great. They were busy, full parking lot and still had lots of seating available. Large portions, great taste, and quick. Not a single complaint from me here. Definitely worth stopping in.

The only bad thing I can say is they fed me too much! Otherwise some of the best prime rib I’ve had in a while. Great taste! And portion for cost. Not much for desserts but decided to because I’ve been wanting a good cheese cake. Talk about melt in your mouth.
